Current News In Brief
+++TEPEE Office Space to Share+++ TEPEE (Teignbridge Play Network) have just moved in to a room in Buckfastleigh Business Centre and are looking for someone to share office space and costs with. We are a small children’s play charity with 2 part-time staff who work 37 hours a week between them, usually Monday to Friday. The room is 400 sq feet, light and airy with power and phone sockets ready to connect. We can also provide our co-tenants with 2 desks and 2 office chairs. The cost is just £50 p.w. but other options will be considered for less use. Buckfastleigh is situated conveniently close to the A38 Expressway, with easy access for Exeter, Torbay and Plymouth. If you are interested, please contact us by email: theo@tepee.org.uk or telephone: 01364 644470 where you can leave a message if we are not in the office.

TEPEE Play Rangers summer programme 2008 This summer the Play Rangers have been busy in Sandringham Park, Buckland, Newton Abbot and we have had lots of fun with a good variety of activities for the young people attending the sessions, the weather has been very mixed for us but rain has never stopped play! We have had some really good sessions with activities such as water play, nature walks, climbing nets and den building. Also this summer we have also had the pleasure to return to Buckfastleigh for four weeks of summer fun working alongside the ABC Children’s Centre in Victoria Park. We would like to thank the staff from the ABC Children’s Centre for there support and invitation to join them for the sessions. On returning to the park in Buckfastleigh we were able to see the short term effect that the project has had on the community since the projects funding came to an end in talking to some of the families that used to attend Play Rangers it seems that the park is still being used regularly by families with children since the projects funding for Buckfastleigh ended in June and it was also made clear that the project has been missed by the children, there was lots of positive feedback coming from the families attending about the Play Ranger project being fed back to us from the ABC Children’s Centre staff and this was good to hear. The Play Ranger project is now also running in Teignmouth at Coombe Valley park; this should be a great park for the Play Rangers to work in with lots of potential for all sorts of exciting activities. We also have an announcement that we have a new member to the Play Ranger team Anna Penkala who will be working alongside Robin in Teignmouth, Anna has lots of experience and skills to bring to the Play Rangers project and we would like to welcome her aboard. Let’s hope the next few months are as exciting! Watch this space…..
