TEPEE News HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope you like our new look for the Tepee newsletter. As you will see we have a few new pages and we would like to encourage you to send in ideas for the activity page and also news from your groups. Adele and I have taken the opportunity of this fairly quiet period to organise the resource library, quite a task as we have SO MUCH stuff!!!! Our new premises is now shelved, boxes are sorted and labelled and everything is much easier to find. I have also been cataloguing everything and our new catalogue is now available. If you want to have a look it will be on our website www.tepee.org.uk we will be sending it out to all our members soon. Remember as a member you can borrow anything for a week, for £5. We have a huge amount of percussion instruments which are in box sets, so you can choose from African drums and percussion for 8 children to larger sets of up to 30 instruments. We also have xylophones, large drums, a steel drum and a washboard! So if you fancy drumming in the New Year, why not give us a call and book out some of these fantastic instruments.
Before Christmas we had fun at the Teignbridge Early Years and Childcare Service (EYCS) - formerly zero14plus - Network meeting on the 30th November. Sue, Jackie and Georgina had organised an evening of Christmas crafts and Tepee showed people how to make stars out of willow, for Christmas decorations. The evening was well attended and we hope to collaborate with the EYCS on their network meetings throughout 2007. All the best, Theo. Membership fees It was decided at the AGM that it is time to increase our membership fees. We have not put them up for the last 3 years, but due to inflation and the increased cost of insurance we do have to raise them now. They will be as follows: Group A £60 to include 1 yr playscheme insurance Group B £48 includes summer playscheme ins. Group C £20 for a group, without insurance Single person £10 The insurance is subsidized by 40% and is still a huge saving! This may be a good time to check if your membership is up to date.
